The Muskoka all season cottage has a total of 5 bedrooms.  4 bedrooms are located on the same floor, making this cottage ideal for families with kids.  The 5th bedroom, is located off the side of the Great Room and offers more great lake views.  Hotel grade luxury bed linens are provided at the cottage.

This executive rental has unlimited high-speed internet, allowing guests to check-in with work if needed, as well as Satellite cable.

The cottage is also located within an easy drive to Muskoka’s famous Arrowhead Provincial Park, Algonquin National Park, Golf courses and the Hidden Valley Ski Resort.

THE COTTAGE IS LOCATED IN HUNTSVILLE, MUSKOKA

Huntsville is one of the most popular cities for rentals in Muskoka due to its great location and proximity to major attractions such as Algonquin and Arrowhead Provincial Parks.  It is also the largest city in Muskoka and has all the necessities such as big chain grocery stores, LCBO, hospital, etc. while maintaining its small-town charm.  Take a stroll down the quaint historic Main Street in the city center, and discover its many shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops.  Relax at one of the waterfront patios while watching the boat traffic on the canal.

FAQ

How much privacy does the Muskoka waterfront rental get?

There are neighbours on both sides of the Muskoka cottage. However, the beautiful vegetation and canopy does provide a good amount of privacy for cottage guests.

Does the vacation rental have a strict 10 guests limit and is it possible to pay a fee to host more than 10 guests?

Due to the waterfront cottage operating on a septic system, there is a strict 10 guest limit at the rental.  We do not accept payment for additional guests to stay at the cottage.

Will we need to bring kitchen supplies such as pots and pans, dishes and cutlery?

No. The kitchen at the cottage is stocked with everything you will need except consumables.

Is the Muskoka cottage tap water safe to drink?

The cottage has a water filtration system and drinking water can be obtained from the small spout beside the main tap in the kitchen.  However, we always recommend for guests to bring bottled water as well. 

Will linens/towels be provided?

Yes. The rental comes with Hotel grade linen and towels.  We provide one bath towel and one hand towel per guest.  If you require additional towels, please bring your own.  We also do not provide beach towels and recommend for guests to bring their own for using the hot tub and enjoying the lake. 

What appliances does the Muskoka cottage come with?

Fridge, gas burners, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, a propane BBQ (propane supplied at the rental).

Do you have air conditioning?

Yes, the Muskoka cottage has a complete heating/air conditioning and humidity control system.

Does the vacation rental have a fast and reliable internet connection?

There is high-speed unlimited internet at the Muskoka cottage and the connection is excellent.  Guests are able to work remotely if needed.  

What is the pet policy?

Please inquire about our dog policy with the owners—this is decided on a case-by-case basis. Cats are not permitted at the rental.

Is smoking permitted?

No, there is absolutely NO smoking in the Muskoka cottage. Smokers MUST smoke outside and clean up after themselves.

What is the bottom like in Lake Vernon?

The bottom of Lake Vernon consists of packed sand, flat rocks and pebbled rock. The Muskoka cottage has a gradual walk-in into the lake, but the water does get deep quickly which is typical for lakes in Muskoka.

Is the Lake Vernon water good for swimming?

Yes, Lake Vernon is great for swimming, the water is clean and refreshing.

Is there a shallow area for young children to play?

There is a walk-in into the lake off the side of the dock. However, the water does get deep quickly, and the end of the dock has deep water. Young children will have to be supervised at all times.

How is the fishing?

Lake Vernon has very good fishing.

Should guests bring their own life jackets?

Yes. We do provide a limited selection of life jacket sizes. However, for your safety, we ask you to bring your own life jackets, as they will fit you properly.

We will be bringing a boat, is there a marina nearby where we can launch it and can we dock at the Muskoka cottage?

There is a marina very close to the Muskoka cottage where boats can be launched for a small fee. We can provide directions to the marina. The boat can be docked at our dock.

Is the hot tub available in the winter?

Yes, the hot tub is available for guests to use year round.

Is there an outdoor fire pit? Do we need to bring firewood?

Yes, we have a beautiful lakefront firepit. Guests are to bring their own firewood.

How far is the Muskoka cottage from grocery stores, hospital and other amenities?

Huntsville is only 15-20 minutes away from the vacation rental, and has all the amenities, including a hospital, a variety of grocery stores, the LCBO, beer store and a selection of restaurants. Huntsville is the largest city in the Muskoka region of Ontario.
